by majestic scenery, through beech forests or golden
tussock country, search for your trout, then put your skills to
the test.
After your fishing experience take time to relax
and enjoy the offerings of paradise.
We offer all
types of fishing adventures, it is not necessary to be a master
fly fisher.
The specific location
depends on client preferences and prevailing weather patterns. Because
our service utilises a helicopter, we are able to find favourable
weather conditions and provide you with the best available location.
We pick excellent
fishing locations, which come from many years of experience in the
area. Average fish weights are 5-6lbs with 7-8lbs trophy fish not
uncommon.
Our Helicopter
can either pick you up from your accommodation or we can arrange
transport to our base depending availability and your preferences.
Seasons
The South Island fishing season runs from October to April (inclusive)
with each month offering a different range of conditions...
October: Most rivers carry more water due to the
snow melt. Nymph fishing of exceptional quality is available in
most places.
November: From mid November the weather becomes
more stable. This is reflected in river flows. A combination of
nymph and dry fly angling. Excellent fishing.
December - January: Generally lower rivers. Usually,
exceptional dry fly fishing and small nymphs.
February - April: Low clear waters. Challenging
fishing. The time to explore hidden places.
